How to get credentials
Stripe authenticates API requests with secret keys. API Import stores the secret key and sends it to Stripe as an Authorization bearer credential, which Stripe supports.
- Open the Stripe API keys page.
- Use Test mode while you are testing, or switch to live mode only when you are ready to use live Stripe data.
- Copy a Secret key. Test secret keys start with
sk_test_; live secret keys start withsk_live_. - Open API Import for Sheets from the Google Sheets Extensions menu.
- Select Stripe from the API selector.
- Under Credentials, click Add another credential.
- Paste the Stripe secret key and click Save Credential.
- Select the saved credential from the dropdown and run your prompt.
